Historique
Ce colombier, en moellons, vraisemblablement construit au 15e-16e siècle, se situe au sud du manoir de la Ribière. Il était sans doute rattaché à un ancien petit domaine noble du 15e siècle, d'abord détenu par les Saint-Fiel du 15e au 16e siècle, puis par les Villoutreys de Faye au 18e siècle. Ce colombier à tour cylindrique, de plain-pied, en granit, répond aux critères fonctionnels et économiques, fixés au 16e siècle par Olivier de Serres. Il a le mérite d'être resté en assez bon état malgré la simplicité évidente de sa construction. Sa couverture en lauze sans charpente, est rare pour la région. Le faîtage étant constitué par une gariotte miniature, il s'agit d'un colombier dit pigeonnier-gariotte. A l'intérieur, les boulins, formés de pierres locales, au nombre de 166, se disposent sur six rangs et sont disposés en rangées superposées.

History
This dovecote, built in rubble stone, probably constructed in the 15th-16th century, is situated to the south of the manor of Ribière. It was no doubt attached to an old small noble estate of the 15th century, first held by the Saint-Fiel family from the 15th to 16th century, then by the Villoutreys de Faye in the 18th century. This dovecote with cylindrical tower, ground-level, in granite, meets the functional and economic criteria set in the 16th century by Olivier de Serres. It has the merit of having remained in fairly good condition despite the obvious simplicity of its construction. Its slate roof without roof structure is rare for the region. The ridge being formed by a miniature stone shelter, this is a dovecote known as a pigeon house with stone shelter. Inside, the nesting holes, formed of local stones, numbering 166, are arranged in six rows and are disposed in superimposed rows.
