History
The logis of Grois was built at the end of the 18th century for Colonel Majou des Grois, officer of the Duchess of Orleans. This building is representative of what is today called the Vendean logis as it developed between courtyard of honour and garden, adorned with a hornbeam hedge, surrounded by outbuildings, between the end of the Wars of Religion and the Revolution. The ensemble presents a certain austerity. It is a very symmetrical, very orthogonal and classical house and is characterized by its homogeneity and the great regularity of its spatial organization. The roof of the logis is in hollow tiles of Mediterranean type.
