En 1898, lentrepreneur Jean Noble confiait au rocailleur Louis Bortiga laménagement dun décor de rocaille ainsi que la construction dun belvédère dans le jardin de sa résidence. Le belvédère, en forme de tour ruinée, est un remarquable exemple darchitecture fissurée, thème cher aux rocailleurs de lépoque 1900. Sur le toit-terrasse, trois personnages illustrant des petits métiers dans la tradition provençale accueillent les visiteurs.

History
In 1898, the entrepreneur Jean Noble entrusted the rockwork specialist Louis Bortiga with the arrangement of rockery decoration as well as the construction of a belvedere in the garden of his residence. The belvedere, in the form of a ruined tower, is a remarkable example of fractured architecture, a theme dear to rockwork specialists of the 1900 period. On the roof terrace, three figures illustrating small trades in the Provençal tradition welcome visitors.
