History

The war memorial of Bargemon is located in a small square enclosed by railings and overlooking the cemetery and the former chapel of Saint-Etienne. As early as January 1918, a decision was made to honour the sons of the country who died for France. A committee was created and, among the various projects submitted to the municipal council, the choice fell upon the bronze monument created by the Marseille sculptor Ary Bitter.
