In 1779, a benefactor built a building for the community, a kind of arranged barn. In 1875, the presbyteral council of Caussade undertakes the construction of a new temple. In 1873, land is purchased and a project is drawn up by the diocesan architect.
Description
Inspired by the temple of Nérac, the architect proposes a centralised plan which is first rejected by the diocesan commission which advises a basilical plan.
