Château construit à la périphérie de la ville au 17e siècle. De cette époque, l'édifice conserve la façade sud composée autour d'une cour avec douves. Derrière cet écran se déploie une grande demeure de la fin du 19e siècle, totalement réaménagée par le comte Léopold de Gironde qui créa un nouveau décor pour présenter ses collections d'art (tentures en cuirs dorés et polychromes). Au début du 20e siècle, un décor peint fut commandé pour la chapelle à l'artiste Paul Pujol. Ce château constitue un bel exemple de l'architecture de brique montalbanaise.

History
Castle built on the outskirts of the town in the 17th century. From this period, the building preserves the south façade arranged around a courtyard with moats. Behind this screen unfolds a large mansion of the late 19th century, entirely redesigned by count Léopold de Gironde who created new decoration to present his art collections (hangings in gilded and polychrome leather). At the beginning of the 20th century, painted decoration was commissioned for the chapel from the artist Paul Pujol. This castle constitutes a fine example of Montauban brick architecture.
