Historique
Dépendant de l'abbaye de Saint-Géraud d'Aurillac, l'église fut rattachée au monastère bénédictin de Varen. Elle subit de grandes transformations au fil des siècles, en raison des nombreuses démolitions provoquées par les troubles des différentes époques. En 1876, elle perd son titre d'église paroissiale. Son plan est rectangulaire à deux vaisseaux. La nef centrale communique avec les chapelles latérales par de grandes arcades en arc brisé prenant appui sur des impostes. Le choeur est décoré de peintures réalisées au 19e siècle et qui représentent des draperies tendues, encadrées de candélabres. Celles de la chapelle Saint-Roch furent réalisées en 1860. A l'ouest, un gros clocher carré du 17e siècle domine l'édifice

History
Dependent on the abbey of Saint-Géraud d'Aurillac, the church was attached to the Benedictine monastery of Varen. It underwent great transformations over the centuries, due to the numerous demolitions caused by the troubles of different periods. In 1876, it loses its title of parish church. Its plan is rectangular with two aisles. The central nave communicates with the lateral chapels by large arcades in pointed arch resting on imposts. The choir is decorated with paintings realised in the 19th century which represent draped fabrics, framed by candelabra. Those of the Saint-Roch chapel were realised in 1860. To the west, a large square bell tower of the 17th century dominates the edifice.
