A masterpiece of architect Edwin Lutyens, conceived in the manner of the military cemetery of Etaples (Pas-de-Calais), the monument is composed of two entrance pavilions, a memorial embellished with a lantern tower connected to two pavilions by a curved wall where appear the 10982 surnames of those missing or with no known burial from the battle of Villers-Bretonneux of April 1918.
