Le parc mémorial terre-neuvien a été aménagé sur les plans du paysagiste Rudolph Cochius en conservant le champ de bataille, les tranchées et autres traces de la Première guerre mondiale afin de donner à voir aux générations futures un lieu devenu sacré. Plantes (épicéas blancs, bouleaux, érables, cornouillers ) et rochers importés de Terre-Neuve évoque l'île. Le caribou, emblème de Terre-Neuve et de son régiment, au sommet d'un monticule de terre est l'oeuvre du sculpteur Basil Gotto. Trois cimetières sont compris dans le parc.

History
The Newfoundland memorial park was laid out on the plans of landscape architect Rudolph Cochius while preserving the battlefield, the trenches and other traces of the First World War in order to show future generations a place which had become sacred. Plants (white spruces, birches, maples, dogwoods) and rocks imported from Newfoundland evoke the island. The caribou, emblem of Newfoundland and its regiment, at the summit of an earthen mound is the work of sculptor Basil Gotto. Three cemeteries are comprised within the park.
