Des fouilles archéologiques ont révélé une tour associée à une courtine et à des bâtiments, notamment des caves. La motte fut construite en grès. Des systèmes de canalisation d'eau ont été retrouvés ainsi qu'une partie de la levée d'enceinte de la basse-cour.

History
The interest taken in this motte castle, a type of construction developing between the 10th and 12th centuries, results from the combination between the investment of a local association and the archaeological research carried out on this site, thus valued from a tourist and scientific point of view. Archaeological excavations revealed a tower associated with a curtain wall and buildings, notably cellars. The motte was constructed in sandstone. Systems of water channelling were found as well as a part of the earthwork of the lower court enclosure.
