Historique
C'est à Charles-Nicolas Manessier, vicomte de Selincourt à partir de 1705, capitaine d'infanterie au Régiment du Roi, que l'on doit la construction, à partir de 1734, de l'actuel château de Selincourt, sur l'emplacement de l'ancien château, détruit par un incendie. Cet édifice, de proportions modestes mais équilibrées, est précédé d'une cour limitée par un saut-de-loup, au centre duquel la grille d'entrée s'ouvre entre deux piliers de pierre surmontés chacun d'un lion. Le château, bâti en panneaux de briques et chaînes de pierre de taille, avec appareillage à refends, se compose d'un seul corps de logis, de plan rectangulaire, terminé par deux ailes en très faible saillie, et doté d'un avant-corps central à trois pans. A l'intérieur, on remarque une belle rampe d'escalier en fer forgé du 18e siècle, ainsi qu'une chapelle aménagée sous les combles, au deuxième étage.

History
It is to Charles-Nicolas Manessier, viscount of Selincourt from 1705, captain of infantry in the King's Regiment, that we owe the construction, from 1734, of the present château of Selincourt, on the site of the old château, destroyed by fire. This building, of modest but balanced proportions, is preceded by a courtyard bounded by a sunk fence, at the centre of which the entrance gate opens between two stone pillars each surmounted by a lion. The château, built in brick panels and ashlar stone chains, with relief work, comprises a single main dwelling of rectangular plan, terminated by two wings in very slight projection, and furnished with a central avant-corps with three faces. Inside, we note a fine 18th century wrought iron staircase ramp, as well as a chapel fitted under the roof space, on the second floor.
