History
The archives place the construction of the château in the 17th century, on an earlier château of which certain elements still in place (barn with a 16th century wall, also serving as a woodshed and cider press and dovecote decorated with vitrified bricks, as well as enclosure walls) can be dated to the 16th century. Modifications and additions mainly in the 18th century. The decoration includes, in the drawing room, diamond-point parquet (late 17th century), in the dining room, 18th century woodwork and, in a bedroom, Louis XV panelling and 19th century orientalizing wallpaper. A plot adjoining the château gardens appears to be a remnant of an old 17th century kitchen garden or orchard.
