Historique
Château construit au 18e siècle par François II Trudaine, faisant partie d'un grand domaine détaillé lors de la vente comme bien national en 1795. Il reste de cet ensemble l'essentiel du parc et jardin, des clôtures, le portail d'entrée et les murs du rez-de-chaussée du château détruit par un incendie en 1946. L'édifice de plan rectangulaire, édifié en brique et pierre avec un soubassement en grès, avait un étage et était mansardé. Le canal est toujours entouré des arbres du parc, ce qui est peu banal, les canaux du 17e et 18e siècle étant en général bordés de talus gazonnés ou maçonnés. La pièce d'eau existe toujours dans sa forme d'origine. Le château et le domaine constituent un témoignage intéressant des châteaux de la fin du 17e-début 18e siècle dans la région.

History
Castle built in the 18th century by François II Trudaine, forming part of a large estate detailed at the time of its sale as national property in 1795. What remains of this ensemble is essentially the park and garden, the enclosures, the entrance gateway and the walls of the ground floor of the castle destroyed by fire in 1946. The edifice of rectangular plan, built in brick and stone with a base of sandstone, had one storey and was mansarded. The canal is still surrounded by the park trees, which is uncommon, since the canals of the 17th and 18th centuries were generally bordered by grassed or masonry banks. The pond still exists in its original form. The castle and the estate constitute an interesting testimony to the castles of the late 17th-early 18th century in the region.
