Historique
Une première église paroissiale fut construite en 1503 et démolie en 1850. A la fin du 19e siècle, le doyen de la paroisse conçut le projet de reconstruire l'église des Cordeliers dans un style néo-gothique élaboré par l'architecte Paul Delefortrie. Seuls le choeur et le transept furent édifiés. Endommagée en 1914-1918, l'église bénéficia de dommages de guerres qui permirent à l'architecte Pierre Ansart et à son fils, Gérard, artiste verrier, d'édifier la sacristie, de restaurer les vitraux ou d'en composer de nouveaux. Les vitraux de l'abside déclinent la vie de Saint-Rémi dans des médaillons superposés ; le triforium est consacré à la vie des moines et des cordeliers d'Amiens ; les fenêtres hautes représentent les douze apôtres de part et d'autre du tableau central réunissant la Vierge Marie avec Jésus et le thème de la Trinité.

History
A first parish church was built in 1503 and demolished in 1850. At the end of the 19th century, the dean of the parish conceived the project of rebuilding the Church of the Cordeliers in an elaborate neo-Gothic style designed by the architect Paul Delefortrie. Only the choir and transept were built. Damaged in 1914-1918, the church benefited from war damage compensation which enabled the architect Pierre Ansart and his son Gérard, a stained-glass artist, to build the sacristy, restore the stained glass or compose new ones. The stained glass of the apse recounts the life of Saint-Rémi in superimposed medallions; the triforium is devoted to the life of monks and Cordeliers of Amiens; the high windows represent the twelve apostles on either side of the central panel uniting the Virgin Mary with Jesus and the theme of the Trinity.
