Château du 16e siècle (dont subsistent quatre tours rondes et un corps de bâtiment) , réaménagé par le sculpteur Carlo Marochetti qui l'acquiert en 1822. Transformation par le sculpteur (ajout d'un corps de bâtiment) et par son fils Maurizio, lui-même sculpteur. Les deux sculpteurs décorent le château avec leurs oeuvres et aussi avec des remplois divers (bas-reliefs, tapisseries, cuirs, rondes-bosses, ...). Le grand corridor du premier étage du château de Vaux reflète l'histoire du goût du XIXe s.

History
16th-century castle (of which four round towers and a building block remain), remodelled by sculptor Carlo Marochetti who acquired it in 1822. Transformation by the sculptor (addition of a building block) and by his son Maurizio, himself a sculptor. The two sculptors decorate the castle with their works and also with various reused elements (bas-reliefs, tapestries, leather, sculptures in the round, ...).
