Ouvrage composé d'une levée de terre circulaire précédée d'un fossé large d'environ dix-sept mètres, délimitant une plate-forme horizontale d'une cinquantaine de mètres de diamètre. Au sud-ouest, une enceinte semi-circulaire pourrait avoir eu un rôle d'avant-corps ou de basse-cour. Il s'agirait, à l'origine, d'un château de terre et de bois érigé aux 11e et 12e siècles pour défendre l'entrée du duché de Normandie, et aurait été identifié au château du Plessis.

History
Structure composed of a circular earthen rampart preceded by a ditch approximately seventeen metres wide, delimiting a horizontal platform of approximately fifty metres in diameter. To the south-west, a semi-circular enclosure may have served as a barbican or outer ward. It would originally have been a castle of earth and wood erected in the 11th and 12th centuries to defend the entrance to the Duchy of Normandy, and may have been identified as the castle of Plessis.
