Attesté depuis le XVe siècle, le moulin de Clémencey appartenait aux seigneurs du château de Clémencey, château détruit à la Révolution. Le moulin est occupé par plusieurs familles de meuniers durant le XIXe siècle. Produisant de la farine, le moulin est reconstruit vers 1868, et à nouveau modernisé dans les années 1930 après un incendie. De nouvelles machines provenant des ateliers Lacroix à Dôle sont installées. Le moulin produit de la farine animale avec les meules et de la farine de boulangerie avec les broyeurs à cylindres. L'activité cesse en 1993.
Description
Aménagé sur la rivière Seille, dans la Bresse, le moulin de Clémencey est un bâtiment de plan rectangulaire, construit en briques et couvert d'un toit en tuiles. Sur la façade nord, les extrémités des tirants de fer forment la date 1868. A l'intérieur, les installations techniques du moulin se développent sur les trois niveaux de la partie nord-ouest du bâtiment, correspondant à cinq travées située au-dessus des turbines, suivant des dispositions dites à l'anglaise ou à l'américaine. Au rez-de-chaussée, un beffroi permet de supporter les roues reliées aux turbines et les organes de transmission qui transmettent l'énergie aux étages. Au premier étage sont installées les quatre paires de meules servant pour la farine animale, actionnées par les roues en fonte. Quatre broyeurs à cylindres servent à la production de la farine de boulangerie. Les godets des élévateurs circulent dans des coffrages de bois d'un étage à l'autre. Au deuxième étage, dans le comble, les machines permettent de nettoyer les grains et de tamiser la farine. Les godets sont réceptionnés et redescendent dans les coffrages. Les trois travées du sud-est abritent un atelier au rez-de-chaussée et des espaces de stockage aux étages.

History
Attested since the 15th century, the mill of Clémencey belonged to the lords of the castle of Clémencey, castle destroyed at the Revolution. Description
Fitted out on the river Seille, in the Bresse, the mill of Clémencey is a rectangular-plan building, constructed in brick and covered with a tiled roof.
