Historique
Le château fut édifié, dans le premiers tiers du 17ème siècle, à l'emplacement d'une maison forte par l'architecte Jacques Lemercier. Affecté à un usage agricole au 18ème siècle, le bâtiment conserve néanmoins de très importants éléments: aile nord, ailes basses nord et sud des communs, portail, enceinte. Les façades ne comportent pas de décor et les baies sont à meneaux et croisillons de pierre. Des dispositions d'origine, le château présente encore les enduits intérieurs et extérieurs. Le pavillon se distingue également par la haute cheminée à ailerons dominant la toiture. Un pont de pierre donne accès au portail surmonté d'un entablement. Des vestiges de carrelage de terre cuite sont encore visibles de même que des cheminées d'origine.

History
The castle was erected, in the first third of the 17th century, on the site of a strong house by architect Jacques Lemercier. Assigned to agricultural use in the 18th century, the building nevertheless preserves very important elements: north wing, low north and south wings of the outbuildings, gateway, enclosure. The façades bear no decoration and the openings have stone mullions and transoms. From the original arrangements, the castle still presents interior and exterior renders. The pavilion is also distinguished by the high chimney with wings dominating the roof. A stone bridge gives access to the gateway surmounted by an entablature. Remains of terracotta tiling are still visible as well as original chimneys.
