History
The remains of the old château, destroyed in 1445, appear in the park in the form of a motte and ruins of an enclosure. The present château is built by Girard de la Madeleine. In 1896, the building is restored by architect Rotival. It comprises a main dwelling flanked by a return wing and corner towers. The interior includes rooms with fireplaces from the 15th and 18th centuries, an Empire drawing room and neo-Gothic decorations of Troubadour style.
