L'édifice, ancienne maison forte du 16ème ou 17ème siècle, fut transformé en maison commune en 1878 selon les plans des architectes A. et C. Collard de Gray. L'essentiel de son enceinte quadrangulaire est conservée. Ellle comprend deux tours carrées aux angles nord et sud-est et est percée de canonnières. En fond de cour, se situe un logis de plusieurs corps où subsistent des éléments d'architecture significatifs: escalier rampe sur rampe, fenêtres à meneaux et cheminées monumentales.

History
The edifice, former fortified house of the 16th or 17th century, was transformed into a town hall in 1878 according to the plans of the architects A. and C. Collard de Gray. The essential part of its quadrangular enclosure is preserved. It comprises two square towers at the north and south-east angles and is pierced with gun-loops. At the back of the courtyard, is situated a dwelling of several bodies where significant architectural elements remain: staircase with ramp on ramp, mullioned windows and monumental chimneys.
