L'édifice est constitué d'un ensemble de bâtiments déterminant plusieurs cours, complété par des jardins, potagers et vergers. Les bâtiments ont été construits principalement au 18e siècle en deux campagnes. La première concerne le corps sur rue et pourrait se situer vers 1729. La deuxième a eu lieu peu avant la Révolution. L'édifice était alors la demeure et l'entrepôt de Jean-Baptiste Anthony, famille de négociants en produits métallurgiques, en grains et en vins. A l'ouest, l'aménagement de l'ancienne fonderie Dagot est en partie conservé, avec ses puits de lumière et ses bureaux du début du 20e siècle.

History
The building consists of a set of buildings determining several courtyards, completed by gardens, kitchen gardens and orchards. The buildings were constructed mainly in the 18th century in two campaigns. The first concerns the street-front section and could be dated around 1729. The second took place shortly before the Revolution. The building was then the residence and warehouse of Jean-Baptiste Anthony, a family of merchants in metallurgical products, grain and wine. To the west, the arrangement of the former Dagot foundry is partly preserved, with its light wells and early 20th-century offices.
