History
At the beginning of the 18th century, the castle served as a residence for the masters of the forges. The main dwelling was then rebuilt as were several buildings, including lodgings to the north which were replaced by a large sheepfold at the end of the 19th century. An elevated platform retains the remains of the former castle: a square tower; the 18th-century main dwelling to the east, of rectangular plan, transformed in the 19th and 20th centuries; the sheepfold; the entrance pavilion called 'the Chalet', constructed in the 19th century.
