Monument erected in 1872 by the Parisian architects A. de Metz and Lalanne, for Alexandre Petitjean, native of Neuvelle-lès-Champlitte and having made a fortune in banking in Paris. Surrounded by a cast iron fence, the whole offers a pyramidal composition in three levels representing a base, a tomb and a sculpted group which represents four draped women bearing the body of the deceased.
