Fortress fortified by Archbishop Renaud de Forez between 1193 and 1226. In 1293, it was downgraded to the rank of fortified house. At the end of the 15th century, the Ballarin family undertook major works. Transformed into an agricultural holding in the 19th century, the house was acquired in 1940 by an owner who undertook its restoration after the Second World War. The oldest part is the triumphal arch (13th century) of a Romanesque church on which leans to the north-west a square tower (13th-14th century). To the south-east, a medieval porch tower. The main dwelling, dated 1460, represents the Renaissance residence built by the Ballarin family. In 1959, creation of the garden known as "de la Cozonnière" by landscape designer Bourriquand, in which are found a water feature, beehives, a dovecote and contemporary statues due in particular to sculptor Gabriel Gouttard.
