Historique

History
Mentioned as early as 976, the castle sits at the point of a rocky spur whose wooded park follows the crest. The castle and its surroundings were entirely restored by the architect Louis Dupasquier (1800-1870) who sought to restore a complete medieval fortress. The estate is today composed of two parts: the park to the west and the castle complex to the east, each of the two zones having its own enclosure. The castle concentrates all the elements proper to Neo-Gothic aesthetics: towers, keep, crenellations, composing an architecture and decoration intact since its creation.
