Bâtiment de plan carré ayant la forme d'une tour. Les élévations sont constituées d'un rez-de-chaussée et de deux étages. Le mur pignon nord s'ouvre par une porte en plein cintre qui ne semble pas contemporaine de l'époque de construction. Seules une fente d'éclairage dans le pignon sud et une petite baie carrée au deuxième étage du pignon nord sont d'origine. Cet édifice, antérieur aux premières fortifications de la ville, était sans doute la résidence d'un ministériel de l'évêque de Strasbourg.

History
Building of square plan in the form of a tower. The elevations consist of a ground floor and two storeys. The north gable wall opens through a round arch door which does not appear to be contemporary with the period of construction. Only a light slit in the south gable and a small square opening on the second storey of the north gable are original. This building, which predates the town's first fortifications, was undoubtedly the residence of a ministerial of the Bishop of Strasbourg.
