Historique
Le pèlerinage marial s'est développé au début du 15e siècle. A cette époque, les bâtiments comprenaient une chapelle et un ermitage. Agrandissement du sanctuaire en 1515. History
The Marian pilgrimage developed at the beginning of the 15th century. At this time, the buildings comprised a chapel and a hermitage. Enlargement of the sanctuary in 1515. Construction of a new chapel in 1685, and of convent buildings on the site of the hermitage in 1704. In 1766, the buildings revert to the hospital of Pfaffenheim and serve as a rest home for elderly or infirm brothers. Closure of the site in 1789. Restoration work from 1860 to 1869, in 1910, from 1966 to 1972, and in 1998. As it now presents itself, the chapel corresponds to the 17th century building, with single nave and choir with flat chevet to the north, separated by a large broken triumphal arch. The former choir of 1515, with three bays and buttresses, functions as a side chapel.
