Historique
Eugène Neunreiter, fondateur dès 1865 des établissements de verrerie et de porcelaine du même nom achète en 1878 une propriété en bordure de la vieille ville et de l'ensemble militaire de l'ancienne citadelle accessible par le 7 de la rue de l'Abreuvoir et le 10 de la rue Fritz. Il y implante un de ses magasins de vente et ses entrepôts ainsi que des logements. C'est tout un complexe qui est construit en quelques années. Les plans datent de 1898. Une extension est construite en 1923. A partir de 1957, les locaux sont loués à différentes enseignes qui les transforment tout en conservant le magasin principal. Une partie de l'ensemble est démolie et transformée en 1977. Le CEAAC s'installe en 1995 après une rénovation confiée à l'architecte Eric Gauthier.
Description
Le bâtiment principal dont l'élévation antérieure se développe dans la cour est construit en brique avec une structure reposant sur poteaux de fonte. Il compte trois niveaux et ménage de larges vitrines sur la cour. Sa structure et son plan en L dégagent beaucoup d'espace au sol et sont bien adaptés.

History
Eugène Neunreiter, founder from 1865 of glassware and porcelain establishments of the same name, buys in 1878 a property on the edge of the old town and the military complex of the former citadel accessible by 7 rue de l'Abreuvoir and 10 rue Fritz. He establishes there one of his sales shops and warehouses as well as residences. An entire complex is constructed over several years. The plans date from 1898. An extension is constructed in 1923. From 1957, the premises are rented to different businesses which transform them while preserving the main shop. Part of the complex is demolished and transformed in 1977. The CEAAC is established in 1995 after a renovation entrusted to architect Eric Gauthier.
Description
The main building whose front elevation opens onto the courtyard is constructed in brick with a structure resting on cast iron posts. It comprises three levels and provides large shop windows onto the courtyard. Its structure and L-plan leave plenty of floor space and are well adapted.
