Ensemble conventuel bien conservé en ce qui concerne le volume et l'implantation des bâtiments, le couvent possède en son centre un cloître du 13e siècle (1285) de plan trapézoïdal à galeries ouvertes d'arcatures d'ogives sur piles à base diamantée. L'église conventuelle est à nef unique. Le choeur, extrêmement important par sa taille, conformément à l'architecture des ordres mendiants, trouve ses modèles en Italie du nord. Le choeur et la nef ont été entresolés et cloisonnés au 19e siècle pour aménager l'hôpital civil. La nef a été ornée d'un décor de style néo-Empire vers 1828. History
Well-preserved monastic ensemble as regards the volume and layout of the buildings, the convent possesses at its centre a 13th-century cloister (1285) of trapezoidal plan with open galleries of pointed arches on pillars with diamond bases. The convent church is of single-nave plan. The choir, extremely substantial in size, in keeping with the architecture of the mendicant orders, finds its models in northern Italy. The choir and nave were fitted with mezzanines and partitioned in the 19th century to accommodate the civil hospital. The nave was adorned with neo-Empire style decoration around 1828. The convent buildings display an 18th-century appearance in their façades and roofing. They were transformed in the 19th and 20th centuries for conversion into a hospital.
