History
The chevet of the church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens at Eget and its wall paintings form a rare example of this type of pictorial decoration of original Romanesque character in the Hautes-Pyrénées, partly covered by decorations of the late Middle Ages and of high stylistic quality. Two scenes are preserved almost entirely: the Nativity and the Annunciation to the Shepherds.
