The Richelieu estate was constituted in the 18th century. Between 1876 and 1894, a set of buildings arranged around an open courtyard (chapel, wine-cellar and two wings at right angles) is erected. The seminary installed itself there in 1911. Between 1911 and 1912, a new building is constructed by Louis Jarrier according to a very symmetrical organization: in the centre stands a square pavilion containing, among other things, the apartments of the professors. Lateral wings house the common rooms as well as the bedrooms of the seminarians. The somewhat monotonous symmetry of the façade is broken by the presence of a central avant-corps dominated by a pavilion roof. The whole is characteristic of the architecture of the great seminaries of the 19th century associating academic rationalism and the stylistic eclecticism of the period.
