Usine édifiée en 1895, représentative des constructions à usage locatif utilisées par les entreprises familiales. Une passerelle surplombant la Durolle permet d'accéder à l'usine. Un escalier métallique et un monte-charge desservent l'intérieur. Les quatre niveaux sont découpés en ateliers de différentes surfaces, séparés par des cloisons en bois ou en brique creuse. A chaque étage, des arbres de transmission équipés de poulies traversent les ateliers. Ils sont mis en mouvement par des courroies partant de la turbine hydraulique installée sous le bâtiment.

History
Factory built in 1895, representative of constructions for rental use by family businesses. A footbridge overhanging the Durolle allows access to the factory. A metal staircase and a hoist serve the interior. The four levels are divided into workshops of different sizes, separated by wooden or hollow brick partitions. On each floor, transmission shafts equipped with pulleys cross the workshops. They are driven by belts from the hydraulic turbine installed beneath the building.
