Statue équestre en bronze réalisée par Paul Landowski, en hommage au maréchal Douglas Haig. Cette sculpture, grandeur nature, fut créée dans la grande tradition classique : cheval immobilisé, le cavalier adopte une pose hiératique, vêtu de son sobre uniforme de Field Marshall. L'inauguration eut lieu en juin 1931. Détruite au cours de la Seconde Guerre puis refondue, elle bénéficia d'aménagements vers 1993 : plan d'eau, encadrement de tilleuls et massifs bas.

History
Equestrian statue in bronze created by Paul Landowski, in homage to Marshal Douglas Haig. This life-size sculpture was created in the great classical tradition: horse immobilized, the rider adopts a hieratic pose, dressed in his sober uniform of Field Marshal. The inauguration took place in June 1931. Destroyed during the Second World War and then recast, it benefited from improvements around 1993: water feature, framework of lime trees and low massing.
