Il s'agit d'un édifice élevé au milieu du 18ème siècle, sur le modèle parisien de l'hôtel entre cour et jardin, pourvu de deux étages carrés, d'un toit brisé à la Mansart et d'un avant-corps central à trois travées ornées de sculptures Rocaille. History
This is a building erected in the middle of the 18th century, on the Parisian model of the hôtel between courtyard and garden, furnished with two squared storeys, a mansard roof and a central avant-corps of three bays ornamented with Rocaille sculptures. Of Louis XV style, it nevertheless presents certain decorative elements announcing the evolution towards the renewal of the classical style. In 1780, the hôtel becomes an abbatial palace and, in 1793, it is transformed into a prison. In 1820, the town repurchases the building from the department in order to house the college and an extension is built at that same period. Today, the garden façade has become less legible and the garden, whose ground is tarmacked, serves as a recreation courtyard.
