Historique
L'ancienne église du 15e siècle était implantée au milieu du cimetière de la commune. Elle a été dynamitée lors du retrait des troupes allemandes en septembre 1944. Quelques années après, la ville a décidé la reconstruction de l'édifice sur un emplacement limitrophe hors du cimetière, près de la place de la Mairie. L'architecte calaisien Maurice Suaudeau est chargé du projet, réalisé grâce au financement du ministère de la Reconstruction et du Logement. La première pierre de l'église est posée le 30 avril 1961 et l'inauguration a eu lieu le 12 avril 1964. Les vitraux en dalle de verre sont réalisés par Gabriel Loire et la fresque du choeur par Geneviève Colladant-D'Andréis.

History
The former 15th-century church was located in the middle of the commune cemetery. It was dynamited during the withdrawal of German troops in September 1944. A few years later, the town decided to reconstruct the building on an adjacent location outside the cemetery, near the Town Hall square. The architect from Calais Maurice Suaudeau was entrusted with the project, carried out thanks to funding from the Ministry of Reconstruction and Housing. The foundation stone of the church was laid on 30 April 1961 and the inauguration took place on 12 April 1964. The glass slab windows were created by Gabriel Loire and the choir fresco by Geneviève Colladant-D'Andréis.
