Cette petite église rurale fut construite au 12e siècle (tour de croisée, mur sud de la nef). Bien que très remaniée au 16e siècle (percement de baies, chapelle située dans le bras sud du transept, voûtes du choeur) et très restaurée au 19e siècle, elle garde la simplicité et la clarté extérieure des volumes propres à l'art roman. Elle présente un plan en croix latine, avec une nef sans collatéraux, un large transept et un chevet plat très peu saillant. Il s'agit d'un édifice plein de charme et présentant un grand intérêt du point de vue de l'architecture. L'église est située à flanc de coteau, à quelques centaines de mètres au dessus du village qu'elle domine

History
This small rural church was built in the 12th century (crossing tower, south wall of the nave). Although very much modified in the 16th century (piercing of openings, chapel located in the south arm of the transept, vaults of the choir) and very much restored in the 19th century, it retains the simplicity and exterior clarity of volumes characteristic of Romanesque art. It presents a Latin cross plan, with a nave without aisles, a wide transept and a very slightly projecting flat chevet. It is a building full of charm and presenting great interest from the point of view of architecture. The church is situated on the slope of a hillside, a few hundred metres above the village which it overlooks.
