La Chambre de commerce de Lille est créée par arrêt du Conseil d'Etat du 31 juillet 1714, conséquence du retour de la Flandre française et de sa capitale au royaume de France après la Paix d'Utrecht (1713). En 1966, Lille, Roubaix et Tourcoing fusionnent pour créer la CCI Grand Lille. Oeuvre du plus célèbre architecte du Nord de la France, l'édifice construit de 1906 à 1920 est un aboutissement des réflexions sur le renouveau de la tradition architecturale régionale, entamées depuis la construction de l'hôtel de ville de Loos en 1883-1884.

History
The Chamber of Commerce of Lille was created by decree of the State Council of 31 July 1714, a consequence of the return of French Flanders and its capital to the kingdom of France after the Peace of Utrecht (1713). In 1966, Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing merged to create the CCI Grand Lille. Work of the most celebrated architect of northern France, the building constructed from 1906 to 1920 is an achievement of reflections on the renewal of regional architectural tradition, begun since the construction of the town hall of Loos in 1883-1884.
Description
Cordonnier's work was continued in the 1950s by Jean Delrue who created a new administrative wing.
