Historique
La fosse Delloye fut créée, à Lewarde, à proximité de la concession d'Azincourt. Initié à partir de 1911, le fonçage du puits n°1 fut interrompu par la Première guerre puis repris en 1921. Il rentra en exploitation en 1927. Le fonçage du deuxième puits commença en 1927 et son exploitation démarra en 1931. Les deux puits étaient autonomes, servant à l'extraction du charbon et au retour d'air. En 1955, la fosse Vuillemin fut concentrée sur Delloye. Dès 1967, on constata l'épuisement à court terme du gisement et l'impossibilité de poursuivre l'extraction en profondeur. La fosse ferma le 15 juillet 1971. Dès cette date, le site de Lewarde fut choisi pour y implanter un Centre Historique Minier avec pour objectif de témoigner des activités minières. Ainsi, machines, outils mais également archives des différentes fosses furent collectées pour alimenter ce projet. L'architecte belge Henri Guchez fut chargé de la mutation des bâtiments. Le centre ouvrit ses portes le 3 mai 1984.

History
The Delloye pit was created, at Lewarde, near the Azincourt concession. Initiated from 1911, the sinking of shaft no. 1 was interrupted by the First World War and then resumed in 1921. It entered exploitation in 1927. The sinking of the second shaft began in 1927 and its exploitation started in 1931. The two shafts were autonomous, serving the extraction of coal and air return. In 1955, the Vuillemin pit was concentrated on Delloye. From 1967, the exhaustion of the deposit in the short term was noted and the impossibility of continuing extraction in depth. The pit closed on 15 July 1971. From that date, the Lewarde site was chosen to establish a Historic Mining Centre with the objective of testifying to mining activities. Thus, machines, tools but also archives of the various pits were collected to feed this project. The Belgian architect Henri Guchez was entrusted with the transformation of the buildings. The centre opened its doors on 3 May 1984.
