Historique
Installé au bord de la rivière Nohain, le hameau de Moulin l'Evêque comprend quatre moulins à blé attestés depuis le Moyen-Age comme appartenant à l'évêque d'Auxerre. La famille Mégrot exploite plusieurs de ces moulins à partir de 1732, dont celui dit de la Commanderie car affermé à la Commanderie templière de Villemoison. A la Révolution, la famille Mégrot rachète le moulin de la Commanderie. Le bâtiment est reconstruit vers 1860 et continue de moudre du blé jusqu'en 1897. A cette date, Eugène Mégrot transforme le moulin en atelier de mécanique, pour rectifier les cylindres de meunerie. Deux nouvelles machines sont installées à cet usage, puis deux tours mécaniques dans les années 1930. Le moulin cesse cette activité en 1983.

History
Installed on the banks of the river Nohain, the hamlet of Moulin l'Evêque comprises four grain mills attested since the Middle Ages as belonging to the bishop of Auxerre. The Mégrot family operated several of these mills from 1732 onwards, including the one called de la Commanderie because leased to the Templars Commandery of Villemoison. At the Revolution, the Mégrot family repurchased the Commanderie mill. The building was rebuilt around 1860 and continued to grind wheat until 1897. At that date, Eugène Mégrot converted the mill into a mechanical workshop, to grind the cylinders of milling machinery. Two new machines were installed for this purpose, then two mechanical lathes in the 1930s. The mill ceased this activity in 1983.
