History
This fortified keep is a place linked to the memory of Vauban, as it housed his wife's family and where they were married in 1660. This powerful rectangular tower was built in the early 15th century by Pierre de Basso. Built on four levels and an attic storey, the tower was pierced with small openings and gun ports. Inside, each level is occupied by a hall. In the 17th century, work was undertaken, apparently at Vauban's initiative: large regular openings with seats were opened and a spiral staircase with straight flights and wooden balusters replaced the former spiral staircase.
