Le pont en bois du 16e siècle est remplacé au 17e par le pont de pierre construit par les ingénieurs Berthe et Poictevin. L'ouvrage est constitué de dix arches de profil différent. Côté ville, les trois premières arches ont été reconstruites à l'ancienne après un bombardement allemand en 1944. Les arches suivantes, en plein cintre, en anses de panier ou en arc segmentaire, sont les plus anciennes (18e siècle). Elles ont été reconstruites à partir de 1731, sous la direction de Pitrou puis de Gendrier.

History
The 16th-century wooden bridge was replaced in the 17th century by the stone bridge built by engineers Berthe and Poictevin. The structure consists of ten arches of different profile. On the city side, the first three arches were rebuilt in the traditional manner after a German bombardment in 1944. The following arches, in round arch, elliptical arch or segmental arch, are the oldest (18th century). They were rebuilt from 1731, under the direction of Pitrou then Gendrier.
