Château construit en 1746 pour le baron Pierre Badaud de la Chaussade, créateur des forges et auteur d'un vaste projet d'urbanisme encore lisible à Guérigny. De 1880 à 1971, les chaînes et ancres de bâteaux étaient la spécialité de ce site, fournisseur de la marine de guerre et des grands paquebots de la flotte commerciale. Il comprend deux ailes avec rez-de-chaussée et étage en comble. Une autre aile s'élève parallèlement à l'aile sud. Une partie du château logeait les collaborateurs du maître de forges. Les services administratifs des forges se trouvaient également dans le château.

History
Château built in 1746 for Baron Pierre Badaud de la Chaussade, creator of the forges and author of a vast urban development project still legible at Guérigny. From 1880 to 1971, chains and boat anchors were the specialty of this site, supplier to the navy and the great ocean liners of the commercial fleet. It comprises two wings with ground floor and attic storey. Another wing rises parallel to the south wing. Part of the château housed the collaborators of the master of the forges. The administrative services of the forges were also located in the château.
