Prototype de construction scolaire conçu par Henri et Jean Prouvé en 1950 pour un concours du ministère de l'Education nationale. Le principe est celui du portique axial. L'accès se fait sur l'arrière où un couloir distribue la salle de classe, l'atelier, les sanitaires et le préau couvert. En aluminium, comme la toiture, les panneaux de remplissage, pleins, à hublots, à guillotine, sont laqués à l'extérieur et revêtus de bois à l'intérieur. La classe est meublée avec des pupitres fabriqués en série par les ateliers Prouvé.

History
Prototype of school building designed by Henri and Jean Prouvé in 1950 for a competition of the Ministry of National Education. The principle is that of the axial portico. Access is via the rear where a corridor distributes the classroom, the workshop, the sanitary facilities and the covered playroom. In aluminium, like the roof, the infill panels, solid, with portholes, with guillotine windows, are lacquered on the exterior and clad with wood on the interior. The classroom is furnished with desks manufactured in series by the Prouvé workshops.
