History
This fortress was built at the end of the 15th century on a V-shaped plan, of which one wing survives, remodelled from the 17th to the 19th century. The châtelet tower is, part of the northern châtelet tower and the curtain wall are original. The interventions of the second quarter of the 19th century illustrate one of the oldest programmes of remodelling of châteaux during the 19th century in Brittany. The building is a witness to one of the great fortresses of Brittany. It also testifies to the evolution of the dwelling of the nobility during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
