La construction de la batterie a commencé après celle du fort, en 1857. History
Construction of the battery began after that of the fort, in 1857. Clearance and fill work was necessary in order to shield the 1846 model guard-house from enemy view and fire. The emplacement presents the form of a star square. The sloped envelope and the guard-house have undergone no deterioration.
