Ce fort a été édifié de 1847 à 1850. L'enceinte est de plan trapézoïdal, cantonnée de quatre bastionnets, redoublée par un large fossé. La caserne comporte trois niveaux voûtés et une terrasse non crénelée. Le fort a été abandonné en 1874. En 1942, une DCA allemande a été installée sur toit de la caserne.

History
This fort was built from 1847 to 1850. The enclosure is of trapezoidal plan, flanked by four small bastions, doubled by a wide moat. The barracks comprises three vaulted levels and a non-crenellated terrace. The fort was abandoned in 1874. In 1942, a German anti-aircraft gun was installed on the roof of the barracks.
