Cette grande demeure avec une élévation à six travées, un escalier dans-oeuvre tournant en bois et des lambris couvrant la totalité des pièces, date de la première moitié du 18e siècle. On suppose que Robin de Paimpoul, maire de la ville, l'avait fait rebâtir à partir d'un bâtiment plus ancien dont subsistent des traces. A droite, un passage couvert donnait accès à une cour bordée d'écuries (tranformées en habitations). Le bandeau séparant les niveaux, l'encadrement saillant des baies avec leurs appuis et larmiers, la corniche festonnée et les lucarnes aux frontons alternativement cintrés et triangulaires, concourent à l'homogénéité et à la qualité architecturale de cet édifice, un des rares à Josselin à être entièrement construit en pierre de taille.

History
This large dwelling with an elevation of six bays, a wooden turning staircase within-works and wainscoting covering the entirety of the rooms, dates from the first half of the 18th century. It is supposed that Robin de Paimpoul, mayor of the town, had it rebuilt from an older building of which traces subsist. To the right, a covered passage gave access to a courtyard bordered by stables (converted to dwellings). The band separating the levels, the projecting frame of the bays with their sills and drip moulds, the festooned cornice and the dormers with alternately arched and triangular pediments, contribute to the homogeneity and architectural quality of this building, one of the rare ones in Josselin to be entirely constructed in dressed stone.
