The church of original Romanesque date, modified in the late Gothic period and early Renaissance. The porch dates from 1549 and displays Renaissance ornamental motifs. At the end of the 17th century, the bell tower was demolished and replaced by a more squat bell tower. A stone vault was installed in the 16th century. In 1944, the upper part of the church was destroyed by SS troops who razed the village. Restoration of the building was undertaken, allowing the preservation of interesting elements: altars, statuary, the pulpit as well as a fine eucharistic cupboard. The side altar is characteristic of the late 17th century in contrast to the high altar which fully dates from the 18th century. The side altar is of rectangular form, adorned at its centre with a Phoenix, symbol of resurrection. The stone retable is composed of a niche sheltering a stone statue of Saint-Nicolas whose highly expressive face displays great plastic qualities. The current paintwork reveals significant traces of old polychromy. The preaching pulpit is one of five stone pulpits preserved in the Meuse, predating the Revolution. The decorative repertoire (acanthus leaves beneath the bowl and on the base of the stairway rise allow dating between the late 17th century and the early 18th century.
