Historique
La seigneurie de Goussaincourt, qui remonte au 12e siècle, relevait de la châtellenie de Gondrecourt. La maison seigneuriale fut profondément remaniée à partir de 1663. Le château présente un plan parallépipédique, avec une tour carrée sur l'angle sud-ouest et une haute aile perpendiculaire à l'extrémité de la façade nord. History
The seigneury of Goussaincourt, which dates back to the 12th century, was under the castellany of Gondrecourt. The seigneurial house was profoundly remodelled from 1663 onwards. The castle presents a parallelepiped plan, with a square tower on the south-west angle and a tall wing perpendicular to the end of the north façade. The ancient openings of the main façade were transformed in the 18th century into windows with segmental arch lintel pierced on two levels. The roof structures date from the construction of the building. The distribution of rooms in enfilade has been retained. The fireplaces, moulded wainscoting, paintings and small alcoves dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, bear witness to the art of living of country gentlemen. To the south, the boundary wall encloses the dovecot. The outbuildings, which close the park to the north, house a room with a ribbed vault resting on pillars of square plan. The monumental entrance gateway of Tuscan order, in ashlar, is flanked by two pedestrian doors.
