Historique
La maison a été reconstruite et agrandie au début du 19e siècle. Le jardin entouré d'un mur de clôture a peu changé depuis le 18e siècle. La maison possède deux pièces lambrissées peu ordinaires. Au rez-de-chaussée, la salle à manger à deux portes surmontées de trumeaux sculptés possède un buffet encastré cantonné de termes, entre deux portes aux impostes ajourés d'une arcature en accolade, dans le style troubadour. A l'étage, la chambre à coucher est ornée de 17 panneaux sculptés, en lambris, illustrant le roman de Paul et Virginie. Le néo-gothique trame les trois séquences murales d'une arcature ogivale. Ce décor, sans doute des années 1820-1840, pourrait avoir été inspiré par l'iconographie d'une des nombreuses éditions du roman.

History
The house was rebuilt and enlarged in the early 19th century. The garden surrounded by a boundary wall has changed little since the 18th century. The house has two unusually panelled rooms. On the ground floor, the dining room with two doors topped with sculpted overmantels has a built-in sideboard flanked by terms, between two doors with pierced lintels featuring an accolade arch, in the troubadour style. On the first floor, the bedroom is decorated with 17 sculpted panels, in panelling, illustrating the novel Paul and Virginie. Neo-Gothic frames the three wall sequences of an ogival arch. This decoration, probably from the 1820-1840s, could have been inspired by the iconography of one of the many editions of the novel.
